About SailSide

SailSide is a peer-to-peer boat rental platform. Sailside allows owners of all types of boats, from sailboats to yachts, to post their boats for rent or charter for free. Everywhere in the world, users search, find and book a boat they would like to rent. The mission is to open the world of boats to enthusiasts and owners. Given that the average boat is only used 8% of the year, boat owners gain the possibility of owning a boat profitably, earning an income from their under-utilised resource.

About the role

As a Marketing & Operations Executive of a small and fast-growing startup you will be very hands-on and have the context to step up and take leadership of several projects and business initiatives. Whatever you do will directly impact the success of the company. We expect you to be a hustler who doesn't take no for an answer and has an impeccable work ethic. 

In this role these are some of the things we expect you to do: 

  • Build and optimize scalable internal processes to prepare the company for hyper-growth;
  • Design and execute (end to end) new core operational projects;
  • Prepare benchmark analysis on competitors, markets, industries and others;
  • Improve product by proactively suggesting new features; 
  • Ensure seamless customer experience and ensure supply quality control;
  • Manage critical vendor relationships and build performance tracking and control systems;
  • Develop strategic supply chain partnerships, new boat acquisitions channels and corporate sales;
  • Manage Social Media Marketing (content and campaigns);
  • Manage and optimize lead generation efforts.

  • Have graduated with a Marketing, Management or Economics degree from a top university; 
  • Are able to break complex problems into smaller ones and enjoy working with data to facilitate your work;
  • Are curious by nature and interested in making an impact ;
  • Can make a good business case and convince people to help you execute;
  • Thrive is a fast-paced and unstructured context;
  • Are a great communicator;
  • Are fluent in English and 1-2 other languages;
